Rider League


The Dressage Anywhere Rider League Champion will be the rider and horse combination who have gained the most points in competitions with British Dressage tests run from January to December.

Points, based on horse and rider combinations are awarded as follows: 1 point for each entry; 7 points for 1st place; 6 points for 2nd place; 5 points for 3rd place; 4 points for 4th place; 3 points for 5th place and 2 points for 6th place.

During the course of the year The Pony Club, the Riding for the Disabled, Jim Boyle's Ex-Racehorses and Blue Chip Freestyle to Music competition series have separate Championships, which do not count for the Rider League.


Team Challenge

  • Teams must be made up of three competitors or more, but only the top three scores will count. There is no maximum number of team members.
  • Groups may enter more than one team, which must be administered separately and riders must remain in their original team for the duration of the challenge.
  • Horses and ponies can be ridden by more than one rider.
  • Horse and rider combinations may not enter a class more than one level below their highest entry in a competition class up to Medium. For instance an Elementary combination may not enter a Preliminary class.
  • During the course of the year The Pony Club, the Riding for the Disabled, Jim Boyle's Ex-Racehorses and Blue Chip Freestyle to Music competition series have separate Championships which do not count for the Team Challenge.
  • Every team member does not need to enter every month, although by doing so you’ll maximise your chances of improving your score.

British Dressage Online Associated Championships, hosted by Dressage Anywhere


Run at Intro to Medium levels, this series is for riders competing via Dressage Anywhere www.dressageanywhere.com. To qualify directly for the championship, horse and rider combinations must achieve three scores of 60% or above, gained between 01 January 2018 and the 30 September 2018.


Scores can be gained in any of the monthly classes on www.dressageanywhere.com.


To qualify and compete in the final, riders must be a minimum of BD Club Member. Horses must hold a minimum of a club horse registration to compete at the final. To register please head to the British Dressage website.


Combinations may compete and qualify at different levels but can only compete in two levels/classes at the final.


When you have achieved three qualifying scores, the next time you login you’ll see a notification with a link to register your qualification.


The final will be held in the late autumn of each year, via Dressage Anywhere. The winning combination at each level at the final will not be eligible for the same level or below in future years and must compete at a higher level. The Pony Club Online Dressage Championships


To take part in the qualifying rounds riders enter any Pony Club class in our monthly schedule from Walk & Trot to Open. These classes are open to any young rider whether they own a pony or ride at a riding school.

Riders with the highest percentage at each level, within the qualifying period, will be invited to compete in the Championship.

Riders must become a Pony Club Branch or Centre member before taking part in the championships.

Qualifiers run from 1st July until the end of February and the Championship is open during April each year.


Riding for the Disabled Online Dressage Championships


To take part in the qualifying rounds riders enter any RDA class in our monthly schedule from Walk only to Grade IV. These classes are open to any disabled rider.

Riders with the highest percentage at each level, within the qualifying period, will be invited to compete in the Championship.

Riders must be part of an official RDA Group to be eligible to take part in the Championships.

Qualifiers run from 1st August to the end of March and the Championship is open during May each year.
